Synastry obs <3
Hiiiii !!! It's been a while ! Here's another synastry obs, enjoy it :)
Rising in their 8th house : the 8th house might be very aware of everything the rising do in their everyday life and they even might stalk a little... 8th house synastry is also about the spiritual, rising might introduce them to new beliefs (especially if 9th house synastry is present.). This relatioship, platonic or romantic, will be transformative for both of them.
6th house synastry : UNDERRATED. Girl, if you want a bestfriend in a boyfriend, a secreteller, a shoulder to cry on and someone to call and yap about your day... I love this synsatry because the planet person just want to be in the life of the house planet and want to improve everything in it ! Be aware of pressure and toxicity tho, you have your own pace ! Great placement for longterm relationship.
Lilith synastry (inner planet : mars, venus and moon) : briefly = the mystery. Everything about them will be mystery at some point.
Mars asp lilith : attraction of one to another will be a mystery : why ? how ? how much ? Why me ?
Mon asp lilith : Their emotion will seem irrational, childish or just straight up incoherent. Might triggers some past trauma in the lilith person.
Venus asp lilith : the out of reach. For some reason this placement is always about two poeple not being able to be together, or not for a long time. Social class, age, title, work... Even when it seems like you two can be ? Like why ? Something do not feel right.
Moon in the first house : moon person can read every little emotion and thought on the first peron face and mind.
10 th house synastry : I have seen heavy 10 house synastry in two case : meeting at school or work (it's your boss or the pretty senior boy that you are too afraid to talk too.). It's a celebrity : house of social statut, even if you are the house person, you just might have a big crush on people having the sign of your 10th house.
9th house synastry : house of journey... spiritual, physical. Anytime you have this synastry you will experience some sort of trip with the other one. You might move house with them, change country ? Or you might travel in the beliefs of the other, convert to a religion with them ? Enjoy it and take the lessons of these adventures.
Lilith conjunct moon : here, the planet of your emotion encounter the dark side of the moon nd in the same sign. Think about the bad and the good side of one side meeting up. In some case, you two might help each other grow, in some other case it can become too intense. I experienced it one time : a friend of mine (the moon), it started very fast, we spend every free moment together, made the world together late at night and it just stopped for some stupid shit. I think about her often tho, hope she is alright !
South node is worth looking at, trust me. You can have some peeps into your past life with the others.
Do I have to say anything about the 8th house synastry ( especially mars and venus) ? No, we know, i know, you know... uhm anyways.
Moon conjunct moon : bestfriend placement, think the same and at the same pace, just loving placement !
I have always wondered who feel the most... house or inner planet ? Tell me.
That will be all girlies :) Hope you will enjoy it :))

jess mariano and rory gilmore are literally the SAME people at their core, just in opposite fonts. they MIRROR each other and are each other's TWIN FLAMES. that's exactly why they understand each other better than everyone else (asp herself said so). both are raised by teen moms and have deadbeat dads. yet, one is nurtured with love and care with a mom like lorelai. and the other is abandoned & ignored by a flaky mom like liz. both develop an immense love for reading regardless of whether it became kind of a coping mechanism. both exceed normal expectations of intelligence required for their age. hence, one goes above and beyond, strives for perfection with it, and craves validation while the other could not care less what people think and says "fuck it. rules don't matter anymore for me. i know stuff". one becomes stars hollow's princess, held onto a pedestal by everyone around her. the other becomes stars hollow's pariah, hated by every person he meets. both are under intense scrutiny by people where one is held to exceptionally high standards and the other is seen as "good for nothing". both of them break out of those respective moulds as soon as they become young adults. and both play a pivotal role in helping each other break out of those moulds and still be true to their inner selfs. I COULD WRITE AN ENTIRE TEN-PAGE ESSAY ON THE PARALLELS BETWEEN THEM....I REALLY COULD!

Yes! And everybody makes fun of her (or worse) for the "study tree" thing, but her desperation when she can't focus because of all the unfamiliar surroundings and background noises at her dorm? And then people just call her "spoiled" and say she should "just get over it." 😕
I actually need someone to make a complication of Rory having sensory issues for X minutes because GIRL??
#Gilmore Girls#Rory Gilmore#My personal headcanon is that she's one of those ADHD girls who falls through the cracks#Because she's always micromanaged everything to overcompensate#(it's a THING! It's a REAL THING!)#But I'm convinced there's at least SOME kind of neurodivergence there#Because I've read enough interviews of ASP to STRONGLY suspect that she herself is undiagnosed neurodivergent#And so her characters just come out Like That because she thinks that's normal. 😂#Well they're relatable to ME and maybe that's why I love them so much!

My favorite details in Castle Lecter's set design
1. The Lecter family crest pays homage to the Hannibal book cover.
It references Milan's biscione, a snake devouring a man, which appears on the coat of arms of the Visconti and Sforza families (from which Hannibal is descended on his mother's side).
SIDE NOTE: One of Hannibal's favorite pastimes as the curator of the Palazzo Vecchio was reading about his ancestors:
Funnily enough, the Visconti-Sforza commissioned their own tarot decks in the 15th century, so Hannibal might've been studying those in the Palazzo library around the time he designed his Vitruvian Man tableau. Here's the original Visconti di Modrone Three of Swords vs an artist's reproduction:
2. Pheasant & Raven imagery
The Chiyoh/Abigail parallels are strong, but Chiyoh's symbolic prey animal is a pheasant instead of a deer! She uses pheasant quills as decoration for her dinner with Will, and there are some taxidermied pheasants in the hunting lodge we didn't get to see:
But my favorite detail is how she uses a pheasant bone to kill the Caged Man! Even a prey animal has sharp edges.
Meanwhile, ravens represent Hannibal's imposing presence haunting the estate. We see them on the Lecter family crest and taxidermied by the fireplace.
Doubled birds of prey motif... a nod to how Will is joining Hannibal as a predator?
All the hawk paintings could also just be referencing this single line in Hannibal Rising:
SIDE NOTE: Over in Florence, Hannibal is keeping in the bird theme with a feathered arm ham wing and a nest of green bean asps for his dinner with Sogliatto:
3. A Shrine for Mischa?
There's a deleted scene in the script where Will spots a Shinto shrine while snooping:
A small version of this shrine appears above the fireplace. It includes a pair of birds of paradise, the same flower Chiyoh leaves on Mischa's grave:
If you've read the books, Mischa's presence is also palpable in the deer heads watching over their dinner (not that we got to see them lol):
4. The way the painting above the fireplace is cut off makes it look like an oni glaring at them! Creepy!
Or maybe it's meant to look like Enma, the Buddhist King of Hell, who is depicted in the painting on the ceiling in the original production design (The Fever of Tairo no Kiyomori by Tsukioka Yoshitoshi, 1883):
It's actually this Rorschach of a landscape based on Old Plum by Kano Sansetsu (1646):
5. Japanese family crests (mon) on the curtains
The Secondo scene uses the weeping wisteria family crest (sagari fuji mon):
The name Murasaki means wisteria, so I assume this crest represents her. It's doubly fitting, since in real life, this is the Fujiwara crest, and Lady Murasaki's namesake (Murasaki Shikibu, author of the Tale of Genji) was a Fujiwara.
The original production design uses a princess tree family crest (kiri mon). Not sure if there was any symbolism to that choice, but they didn't go with it in the end.

ASTROLOGY OBSERVATIONS PT.1
Disclaimer :
DO NOT READ FURTHUR IF YOU ARE A MINOR!!
!TW! : THIS CONTAINS MENTIONING OF seggs so please scroll if ur below 18+
THESE NOTES ARE ONLY A STUDY OF MINE AND HAS/HAS NOT BEEN PROVEN YET, SO IF IT DOES NOT RESONATE WITH YOU, FORGIVE ME AS IT WAS ONLY A STUDY/OBSERVATION OF MINE.
I DO NOT PILRIMIZE, COPY OR REWORD ANY OF MY FELLOW ASTROLOGY OBSERVERS POSTS AND I DEMAND THE SAME IN RETURN
venus- moon in harmonious aspects( trine, sextile, maybe conjunction too) natives seem to have prominent breasts whereas when there's negative aspects(square, opposition, semi square) the native could have breasts that may be a bit different in size.
Why do People having mercury- pluto (any asp.) Have a very smooth, husky or just a very soothing voice?🙊🔥💨 Ex: SZA has her mercury conjunct pluto and I can't help but notice how her voice has a touch of relaxation and idk it's just so satisfying to hear her voice. But this may not be the same for others, This can depend on the other aspects as well.
Aphrodite-sun , you carry beauty in your very aura. If in harmonious aspects, you may know that you carry beauty inside you but if there is a hard aspect, you probably struggle to understand, realize or accept how beautiful your aura is or even how beautiful you are.💫👑💓
Eros-mars natives love rough, passionate or even "sex that involves lots of energy" sex so so much. Esp. In a man's chart💥🔥🥵
people with Odin conjunct venus (male and female) know just how to romance and seduce anybody within a minute damnn they don't need no class. they make people lowkey fall for them so so easily.💘🙉🛐
Natives with kiss-mars love aggressive kissing. Anywhere on the body as well. Especially if it's sextile or conjunct.💥🤤
Natives with Saturn-sun (most of the time harsh aspects) have so much authoritative, unapproachable and even a formal energy. People don't wanna play with you cuz you look like a person who don't take anybodys shit and most of the time this is the reason people don't approach you much cuz you look too structured or formal for them to loosen up and speak casually with you. (If u hv this You could always look like 😐🤨😑)
Jupiter-venus >> big butt, beautiful thighs and hips🍑
(can my dear readers having neptune-saturn clarify if this is relatable with you) neptune- saturn natives like to fantasize about having their partner on their knees or their partner putting them on their knees. This can also apply to mars-saturn having this kink.⛓
Jupiter- pluto/mars, just stroke or kiss these natives thighs to make them wet. These people have so much genital liquids in their sex organs. They can even cum multiple times and You can also grab their hips and make em go ughh😩🥵
people having cusp of sensitivity/magic/rebirth are most likely to be naturally intuitive, spiritual from birth, even psychic and clairvoyant.
Cusp of sensitivity : Feb 15-21 (aquarius/pisces)
Cusp of magic : June 17-23 (gemini/cancer)
Cusp of rebirth : March 17-23 (pisces/aries)
Natives with Mercury-mars aspects like to grab their partners hands while making out
ASTEROIDS MENTIONED ABOVE :
aphrodite - 1388
Eros - 433
Odin - 3989
Let me know if y'all want a pt.2! Feel free to reblog and tag me when you do❤🙌🏻 hope you all enjoyed today's post! Thankyou!!🫂💫

Werewolf Fact #75 - Cynocephali (dog-headed men)
This month's folklore fact is a long-awaited one from over on the Patreon: the cynocephali or "dog-headed men."
Some depictions of cynocephali (the one above is from the Nuremberg Chronicle, 1493) are mistaken for werewolves fairly frequently; there are several differences of note, including but not limited to the fact that they are otherwise very, very human (normal hands and feet, no tail, etc) and that their ears are not always shaped like a wolf's/pointing directly upright. They often are, however, so don't take the ear shape as a surefire thing, either. When in doubt, make sure the depiction is actually meant to be showing a werewolf before using it for, I don't know, a royalty-free image in your werewolf publication (I've seen several). The cynocephali do not shapeshift, nor are they associated with wolves. They have nothing to do with werewolves. Yes, it was just a plot to make you click this link and read about cynocephali.
Cynocephali, or singular cynocephalus, is a term derived from the original Greek word "kynokephaloi," meaning "dog-headed." They have other names as well, which mean a range of things such as "dog-faced" and "half-dog." They were mentioned in assorted accounts and tales of travelers in Africa and India, appearing in sources as old as ancient Greece, and some similar beings can be found in other cultures, such as China. Likewise, depictions of and discussions of such beings continue into the Middle Ages. This same term was later used to refer to baboons, to which no-fun modern day scholars now attribute all cynocephali legends (although we do have at least one Ottoman depiction of a cynocephalus battling a monkey).
There are many quotes across various sources and time periods about these beings, including but not limited to this one from the fifth century BC Greek historian Herodotus, Histories 4. 191. 3 (trans. Godley) [source: Theoi]
"For the eastern region of Libya, which the Nomads inhabit, is low-lying and sandy as far as the Triton river; but the land west of this, where the farmers live, is exceedingly mountainous and wooded and full of wild beasts. In that country are the huge snakes and the lions, and the elephants and bears and asps, the horned asses, the Kunokephaloi (Cynocephali) (Dog-Headed) and the Headless Men that have their eyes in their chests, as the Libyans say, and the wild men and women, besides many other creatures not fabulous."
Some stories of the cynocephali are also frightfully specific as to how they live, rear livestock, grow fruit, weave baskets, wage war, and much more, even including details of their society, clothing, how long they live, etc. It's all quite interesting. If you'd like to read more specific quotations, you can find many on one of my favorite websites, Theoi.
Sources seem to dispute one another as to whether they bark, do not bark but only howl, only shriek, or whatever other sounds they may make, and there is also a range of descriptions including elements such as if they have beards and whether hair covers their bodies as well as the dog-head. Overall, probably the majority of sources say they wear the skins of animals as opposed to having fur, but there are those that also call them hairy all over.
Please note that I will not be covering/discussing any gods from ancient Egypt in this post, because despite what some modern day scholars like to discuss, I don't consider them "cynocephali." They were wolf-headed deities, not dog-headed (or even jackal-headed), and are overall only related to cynocephali legends by proxy and by modern scholars always putting everything into blasted categories for their next thesis. There were some dog-headed deities in ancient Egypt, and Anubis, Wepwawet, Duamutef, etc, were not among them, and even then, we can't really assert that the dog-headed deities among the ancient Egyptians are actually related to other legends and records of cynocephali.
With that out of the way, let's continue...
One of my personal favorite stories involving a dog-headed man is a version of the tale of Saint Christopher, though these depictions and this tale are not seen as canon by churches and has been proscribed in Eastern Orthodoxy (where such depictions were generally most common). Some of these depictions still survive, however. Some sources believe that Byzantine depictions of a dog-headed Christopher come from mistaking "Cananeus" (meaning "Canaanite") for "caninus," i.e. canine.
In the story about a dog-headed Saint Christopher, there lives Reprebrus (among other variations of his name; ultimately, they all essentially mean "reprobate"), who is captured by Romans in battle and made to serve among them. Reprebrus was said to be of "enormous size," with the head of a dog, said to be typical of his kind. He was later baptized and martyred. However, in another version (this one from Germany), Saint Christopher is depicted as a giant cynocephalus who ate human flesh and performed many atrocities. He meets the Christ child later and carries him across a river, as in tradition (the name Christopher means "bearer of Christ") and repents for his sinful behavior. He is baptized and becomes human, dedicating himself to serving Christianity and became a soldier saint.
There are far more fascinating details in the story than I relayed here in extreme simplicity, but that's a very simple view (the story is actually very specific about different regions and even the unit in which he served).
Other depictions of cynocephali exist in certain Christian traditions, with Ahrakas and Augani sometimes being depicted with dog heads in Coptic Christian tradition, in the life and legend of Saint Mercurius.
Bestiaries also got pretty wild with the creatures depicted therein, many of which were also mentioned in classical sources (such as the Herodotus quote earlier in this post). The image above is from between 1357 and 1371, in a work called The Voyage and Travels of Sir John Mandeville, or simply Mandeville's Travels, the memoirs of a man who traveled across the Middle East, India, and even as far as China. Medieval bestiaries also recorded all the same creatures shown here: a monopod or sciapod, a cyclops, a blemmy, and a cynocephalus, each different civilizations of beings said to dwell across the world (and often cited in multiple sources over considerable spans of time, which generally cite the same or similar regions for each civilization, which I've always found very interesting).
Mentions of the cynocephali span across centuries, such as in works by scribe Paul the Deacon, a Benedictine monk, and they are even mentioned in the Nowell Codex, a surviving Old English work containing Beowulf (as well as a work of the life of Saint Christopher and Wonders of the East, among others). They are also acknowledged in the works of multiple noteworthy explorers, including but not limited to Marco Polo, Christopher Columbus, Giovanni da Pian del Carpine, Ibn Battuta, and Piri Reis.
With that, I think that's a decent overview! Hope you enjoyed the post.
And stay tuned for news and updates on a major [werewolf/fantasy/adventure/horror/epic] book release later this year!

I am a different anon, but I would like to add my five cents.
I think when this all started she thought that she will get a positive attention and praise through this connection. Her friends were also milking that connection as much as they could.
She doesn’t get that nobody hates her because she exists, the problem is in her friends and her ATTITUDE. Even if she wasn’t an A-list actress or Oscar nominee, but a regular person, she would’ve receive more positive feedback, people would’ve supported her if she was a good person. The question is not in her existence or her connection to him, but what she does and how she acts.
Of course, there are some absolutely mental people wishing her death or laughing at her appearance. I don’t like her, but that’s too much.
Yet still people were raising questions about her and her friends attitude and I think that criticism was fair enough:
1) Racism allegations. Listen, people can make mistakes, but then grow up, learn and be better. She could’ve addressed it, talk about it and apologise. Deleting tweets didn’t solve the problem, it just showed how tone deaf her and her friends are. And the outcome of her silence? I think people read all those comments under ASP instagram post when they talked about situation on college campus.
2) https://www.tumblr.com/anneslibrary/709484574092263424/sugarbaby-accounts
Emm…how about this? Really? Cloe, we’re going to Disneyland? Dollar store Leo DiCaprio? He gave you great life opportunities and that’a how you show love to your “husband”? True love…word.
3) Not promoting her projects at all, zero professionalism (but more of a plain disrespect to producers, co-actors and even her own fans). 50 000 dollars for a big poster, for an attempt to save the show (that actually gave her a salary and at least some kind of fame), and yet - ZERO. At least be respectful and kind to your own fans (who were mostly young people and teenagers), who spent their OWN money.
Her friends and her acted worse than a dog shit and she expected people will swallow it and thank her? Nobody here is blind, deaf or dumb. Nobody here has a 3 second memory like a fish to forget what was in 2021-2023.
Even though I don’t support people who leave absolute vile comments about her, yet all the negative feedback she’s having now was caused by her own actions.
So the first person she should blame for toxicity is herself. She herself is toxic that’s what she forgets.
But I guess that doesn’t fit in “I’m innocent and shy and that’s everybody else who is the problem” narrative.
Yeah, and it's not even about the fact that she is connected to him; as you said, it's about her personality, and a lot of people don't see that, and they might be one of those people. However, this is not entirely their fault. There are people who would've hated her no matter what, even if she was the sweetest and kindest person out there, just because she is presumably with Chris.
I think it's important to call their behavior out, but I also don't agree with bodyshaming them. Their appearance has nothing to do with what we are calling them out for, and I think it just takes away from the importance of it. People can easily say we are just jealous, and that's why we are calling them out if we add something that has to do with her appearance, when in reality most of us don't like her because she and her friends aren't good people.

Maniculum Bestiaryposting Results: Miscellaneous Snakes
We have snakes!
Surely y'all know the deal by now, but in case you don't, here's a link: https://maniculum.tumblr.com/bestiaryposting.
To see the entry on which these pictures are based, click here:
To see the one on which next week's will be based, so that you can participate if you like, click here:
Now, art below the cut:
@silverhart-makes-art (link to post here) decided to draw these four snakes. I think they all turned out pretty interesting -- the Kramlengga looks rather elegant, and I think the Mlegtugwam is kind of cute.
@citrvsdrake (link to post here) has done five separate drawings for five separate snakes. All of them are quite good, actually, but I do think the Mlegtugwam hiding in its cave up at the top there is particularly delightful.
@cheapsweets (link to post here) has drawn all of them. I like them a lot -- the Zriggwanto continues to be very funny visually, and the Krefemklog strikes me as particularly well-rendered here. My favorite, however, is the Thagolgrom entirely because he's in a mazer and I'm fascinated by those. They're a deep research dive waiting to happen to me. (Also, thank you for providing alt text.)
@coolest-capybara (link to post here) had the excellent idea to borrow the concept of the "wound man" diagram for this, so we can see all the dangers of the snakes at once. All of this is fantastic, but I think my favorite is the Samgleshti which has somehow burrowed into the gold-foil background as if it were sand.
@wendievergreen (link to post here) has done this really cool-looking thing with black paper. I love it. the Thagolgrom and Kramlengga look especially striking. For information about the real-life snakes that inspired all these different depictions, check out the linked post. (Also, thank you for providing alt text.)
All right, let's take a look at the Aberdeen Bestiary.
Mlegtugwam
... so that's not a snake. That is our Default Medieval Wyvern Thing. I think anything serpent-adjacent has a habit of turning into these when our artist is bored.
Anyway, it's an asp. Looks just like one, too. Note that it's plugging its ears, but I'm not sure that defends against being Hit With Stick.
Girtranaeg
Come on. I know we keep finding out new layers of England's shocking lack of animal species, but I know you know what a snake is. I'm 100% sure England has snakes. Adders, at least.
I have to hand this one to the artist, though, they did a good job making the scales look visually interesting.
On the other hand, this is the scitalis, which is not a real snake, so maybe it does look like this. What do I know.
(I'm glossing over a lot of these not just because there are a lot, but also because there really isn't that much more written about them than what we've already read.)
Hrukgolklo
I'm sure at least one of y'all clocked this one, and if nobody did, someone probably just realized when they saw the illustration. This is the amphisbaena, and the above is possibly the most famous illustration of one -- seriously, I see it everywhere.
Which is kind of annoying actually, because again that is not a picture of a snake. There's also this thing going on here, which CheapSweets seemed to reach on their own from first principles -- it's really easy to read the description of the amphisbaena moving in a circle as it rolling along like a hoop snake. You can even see that kind of happening in the illustration, with the head gripping the tail. It comes up in multiple illustrations of the thing.
Now, I've always read it as... when the amphisbaena is crawling along, the heads are right next to each other and moving in the same direction, so the body forms almost a complete circle. I have no idea if a snake could actually do that, but bestiary authors aren't anatomists. Because, like, okay: of all the snakes, the amphisbaena is the least equipped to do the hoop snake thing, because if it grips its tail with its mouth, it's also gripping its other head, which should be more difficult and less comfortable, right?
Sorry, this is something that's bothered me for years.
Oh, also, the amphisbaena is of course fictitious, as is the hoop snake.
Thagolgrom
No illustration for this one, because it's "a kind of asp", so it's rolled into that entry. This is the (as far as I know not real) dissa.
Shabalrang
As above, except this is the appropriately named ypnalis.
Tafmiwukri
This type of asp is called emorrosis. Which... also has a familiar ring to it. I'm tempted to start looking stuff up to see if all of these asps are named after the effects of their venom, but it's past 11pm and I don't have the time.
Krefemklog
This asp is called a prester, and rules over a country of obscene riches far to the east... wait, no, that's a different thing. This kind of prester is just a cool snake.
Kraehozdim
This is the boa. Which threw me, because I thought those were New World snakes. Turns out, though, the genus Eryx is found around the Mediterranean and in various parts of Africa and Asia, so okay then.
Nrogklongo
Another asp with no illustration! This one is called spectaficus, which sounds cool.
Samgleshti
For some reason this one also doesn't have an illustration, which makes me feel cheated. It's the cerastis, which also makes an appearance in the Wonders of the East, though I think they call it corsia or something. Not a real snake, in case anyone wasn't sure about the horns.
Zriggwanto
... huh. Well, okay, that does look like a javelin snake. This one is the jaculus, which I was ready to dismiss as another imaginary thing, but apparently there might be a grain of truth to it? It seems that the boa species Eryx jaculus is so named because of a claim that the ancient Greeks used to throw them at enemy ships during naval battles to cause fear and confusion among the opposing crew. Maybe. I don't have the time to look into the veracity of that one right now.
But how 'bout that, huh?
Kramlengga
You'd think that one of these snakes being distinguished by having wings would have discouraged the artist from putting wings on the rest of them, but... well. See, now they don't have anything neat to do with the illustration for the winged snake.
Anyway, this is the siren. No, not that one, those are separate and turn up in other bestiaries. This is the snake kind of siren. It's also not real, which is a trend in snakes apparently.
Galwinglik
This is the closest to "snake", even if it has a fox head. It is the seps, which is also not real.
Yeakrindra
No illustration for this one. It also didn't get a header; the text just segued right from "seps" to dipsa. Might have been a scribal error somewhere maybe? Anyway, the dipsa is also fictitious.
And... that's all of them.
Goodnight; dream of danger noodles.

Muffin! It's ASP Inc, the conglomerate made up of the companies formerly known as Apple, Sony, and Pepsi-Co. Based on your credentials with prior projects, you've been conscripted again for another big budget Twilight media project! Probably the CEO is on drugs, but congrats on your $500m dollar budget.
Your task is to design a big-budget Twilight video game. "But I don't really play that many video games," you maybe say? Idk, the CEO doesn't seem to care and is maybe using this project for tax evasion, so your instructions are "Just make us a Twilight game with gameplay stolen from a popular thing like a Minecraft, Fortnight, Among Us, whatever the kids nowadays are playing. Maybe a Mario? Are Marios still a thing?? I played Oregon Trail on my mac once. Stick some story in it. Give it the Muffin treatment, kids like Muffins!"
Your project brief must include:
1) What non-story-based gameplay mechanic you're stealing ("It's like a Mario!") 2) What story set in the Twilight Universe (tm) you've decided is most game-able. 3) Where you're spending the big bucks.
Thank you and good luck! (I hope this is fun and not, you know, annoying)
That would be a very silly thing for them to do.
Caveat
Twilight already is a video game: it's a visual novel. You are Bella Swan, first person point of view, checking out hottie mchottie across the hall. You don't know it, but the wrong action you take, even if it's arriving in the parking lot late: you die.
It's up to you to find Bella's golden path to survival which is in fact the Twilight novels we know and love.
Ordinarily, I'm a big skeptic of medium jumps without much thought, especially to and from video games as they usually don't transition well. However, in this case, we're already there.
You don't even have to change that much of the narrative structure since it's all in first person and we have the visuals as we know exactly what everyone looks like down to what exact shade of red their hair is.
There's not much for me to do.
But That Will Never Fly/Isn't What You Asked For
It sounds like this merger corporation doesn't really understand Twilight or video games which is not surprising. So, I have to make a real person video game which is just like that thing the kiddos are playing.
And since I'm going to hell anyway: I'm making a Twilight game that's RDR/GTA styled and we're going wild.
You're Bella Swan going to high school but you can wander around the town of Forks/the world at large and do whatever the fuck you want. This often gets you killed horribly. You go to Mexico: you're eaten by vampires. You go to Alaska: you get fucked by vampires and have a wild time in their sauna. You go to Egypt: some guy named Amun locks you in a tomb where you hang out with Benjamin, Tia, and Amun's angry wife. You can take missions for the Volturi, which they never asked you to do, and every time you collect a bounty a Volturi member will give you a weird look and ask "what the fuck is wrong with you/why are you here?" but you'll earn in game rewards as they publicly shame you.
You can also get into affairs with your human friends and ruin Jessica's love life, go to Prom with five people, and so on and so forth.
You can also get involved in the La Push community where they stare at you for being this person who clearly doesn't belong and try to seduce Leah into a lesbian love affair with you. (This is a very difficult quest, Leah's not impressed and very confused and going through it with Sam right now). You get to hear all of people's drama that's going on in the side lines.
The actual plot is dating Edward, and somehow, he doesn't notice all your wild adventures because he can't read your mind and while he's been stalking you every time you leave the state he loses your scent.
Your missions are surprisingly difficult as you have to avoid death by Edward by saying the right things and avoid death by everything else in the universe by navigating Port Angeles correctly (shockingly hard as the rapists somehow corner you at every turn). You also get missions during the Hallucination Edward arc as you have to do increasingly difficult and dangerous things to get Hallucination Edward to appear at which point your player character gets sweet sweet endorphins.
In the online player mode, where you've probably become a vampire, you can engage in vampire warfare where the losing condition is you killed too many humans so the Volturi come to kill all of you.
And yes, of course, there is an honor system but you blow it yourself as Bella's honor plummets during New Moon when she has to endanger herself and others to see Edward.
The money's going into a) graphics b) the sheer open worldness allowed in the number of quests, the random events, and all that good points.
Conclusion
I imagine they ask me how I will market this game to Twilight's audience, who are presumably the only ones who will play this game, and I claim, "Young women love grand theft auto!"

Do you want to share about the smaller snake families too? I'd love to hear about them
There's a lot of snake familes - twenty something, give or take, depending on who you ask - but I'll do my best to give you a brief rundown of the ones accepted as unique families by most herpetologists! Quite a few of the smaller families only have a couple or even a single member.
This is gonna be long, so I'm putting this under a read more! Click if you want to see a bunch of weird snakes I can guarantee most people have never even heard of.
We split snake families into two infraorders. First, the Alethinophidia, where most families go other than a few little weirdos we'll discuss later. Boas, pythons, vipers, elapids, and colubrids all go in here, too!
Aniliidae - the family of one little guy, Anilius scytale. It's an extremely primitive snake with smaller belly scales and a very rigid skull.
Acrochordidae - the wart snakes! This is the family of three weirdo aquatic snakes. They're primitive and have loose, baggy skin which they use to trap fish. Elaphant trunk snakes are the most well-known acrochordids.
Atractaspididae - my favorite lesser-known family, the mole vipers, also called stiletto snakes and burrowing asps! They're the last family (outside of vipers and elapids) who are always venomous, and they have totally unique fangs they can swing out to stick prey! They're a bigger family, with twelve genera.
Bolyeriidae - the Round Island boas! There are two, formerly placed in the boa family but seperated due to genetic research. They're pretty big burrowers and have adorable, long faces.
Cylindrophiidae - Asian pipe snakes. They're burrowing, highly secretive little snakes, and there are thirteen of them. They're weird in that they don't have well-developed ventral scales.
Anomochilidae - the three dwarf pipe snakes. They're highly fossorial and have stubby faces and bright-colored bands around their tails to trick predators into missing their heads.
Tropidophiidae - the dwarf boas. Fossorial snakes and another of the bigger families, with thirty-four species. They're little cuties, known for pronounced color changes caused by pigment drift - they're light-colored when they're active during the day and dark-colored when they're asleep at night.
Xenopeltidae - the sunbeam snakes. Beautiful, fossorial snakes. They have particularly rigid jaws.
Uropeltidae - the sheild-tailed snakes. These guys are highly fossorial and secretive to the point we just don't know jack about shit. Their weird flattened tails are bizarre and we don't know what is up with that really.
Loxocemidae - a family with a single species, the Mexican burrowing snake. Burrowers, they have a super cool feature - scent glands to keep away nuisance insects while they go about their business.
Pareidae - forty-two species of snail-eaters, they have asymettrical jaws and special teeth that allow them to scoop snails out of their shells!
Xenodermidae - the odd-scaled snakes. Their scales don't overlap, giving them a super unique appearance!
Prosymnidae - related to elapids but shown to be distinct through genetic tests. Insanely cute.
Psammophiidae - in the same boat as prosymnids. When they're venomous, they're typically rear-fanged venomous.
Lamprophiidae - a bigger one, with eighty-nine species! Diverse and related to elapids. African house snakes are here!
Xenophidiidae - spinejaw snakes. They're highly fossorial and have weird-ass skulls but we haven't even found a male specimen yet. Lots to learn about them!
And, now, the second infraorder - the Scolecophidia! These are the families of blind snakes and thread snakes. All of these snakes are typically less than one foot long and usually much smaller.
Typhlopidae - the biggest family of blind snakes, with over two hundred species! Their eyes are mostly vestigial but they have black spots that can detect light, and they have teeth in their upper jaw but their jaws cannot stretch.
Anomalepididae - super similar to typhlopids but they only have a single tooth.
Leptotyphlopidae - these tiny little guys eat termines and ants. They have no true teeth and immobile jaws. The smallest known snake, the Barbados threadsnake, belongs to this family.
If you made it this far, congrats! You now know more about snake families than most undergrad herpetology students.

like okay. yes jealousy is a huge part of the genefinny dynamic. but also most of the book isn't even about gene being jealous?? the jounce happens relatively early and all of the explicit jealous moments happen before then. but even then, because it doesn't start out that way, it's a fraction of the pre-jounce time. it's admiration that spirals into uncontrollable jealousy and a need to get rid of this thing that is Too beautiful. but once he (partially) succeeds, the rest of the book is about concealing the horrific ramifications of your own desire. like the jealousy arc is kind of fuckin over at that point! if you were to read asp as not queer (which like personally, i think that requires a level of willful ignorance but whatever), it's still a relationship and story mainly progressed by hidden/repressed, monstrous/violent desire. like with the straight reading or the they-never-loved-each-other reading, whatever that actually means in the context of two repressed teenage boys who don't fully understand what love is to them, there's this presumption that the jealousy neuters the desire but it absolutely does not. and it also like. progresses well past that point imo
#a separate peace is like. my desire is ruining me. i need to kill the object of my desire. (my desire has also ruined you)#AND YOU KNOW WHAT? this ^ is about gene and brinker both#my other issue with the straight reading is that it lends so much less complexity to the jealousy than the queer reading does#and overall it makes less sense to me#'if he loved finny he would never be so weird and fucked up about it'. have you ever met a closeted teenager#a separate peace#gene forrester#karinyo.txt#genefinny
